Description
BLS (Basic Life Support) For Healthcare Provider is a credentialed course that is designed to meet the needs of Healthcare Professionals and is a pre-requisite for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) courses. The course teaches students adult CPR, child CPR, infant CPR, choking procedures, use of the automatic external defibrillator (AED), and the use of barrier devices. For students who prefer to do the American Heart Association online course and need skill verification, LSTI does offer this service by appointment only.

Please Note:
Participants will receive an American Heart Association textbook that includes information on Adult CPR, Pediatric CPR, choking procedures, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and barrier devices.
This course requires participants to complete practical skills and successfully pass a written examination at 84% or above, before a course completion card can be obtained. American Heart Association certification is valid for two years from the date issued.
