Life Support Training Institute (LSTI) is a hospital owned and operated EMS Training Agency that is approved by the Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) as well as being a Community Training Center (CTC) approved by the American Heart Association.  LSTI is currently in the process of obtaining national accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) and it's supporting affiliate the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP).  To view the CAAHEP Standards & Guidelines for national accreditation please click on this link: /sites/default/files/standards_caahep.pdf

LSTI can help speed your career pathway into the growing health care industry. We are committed to providing the communities we serve with the best emergency education and training services possible. LSTI is a full service EMS education and training center working in partnership with major hospitals and health systems in Southeast Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Texas and other future partnerships nationally through our affiliation with Community Emergency Medical Services, Inc.

LSTI offers both initial and continuing education with job-relevant training by EMS professionals working in the field. We are also one of the largest American Heart Association Community training centers in Michigan offering classes in CPR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Automated External Defibrillator training, First Aid and more. 

College-level credits are offered to all EMS course graduates.

LSTI has three convenient campus locations, Southfield, Taylor and Detroit.
