EMS Education Course Information

Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics are often the first trained people to respond to emergencies and provide treatment and transport for the sick and injured. They play a crucial role in public safety. EMTs find a career in emergency medical service to be both exciting and rewarding.

LSTI does not offer Advanced Placement credit. Course applications are submitted to MDHHS for approval.

The LSTI EMT-Paramedic Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the EMS Professions (CoAEMSP).
