What is the job outlook for EMS personnel?

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics the EMS industry employed 172,000 people during a recent survey. Employment opportunities in the EMS industry are expected to grow at a greater rate than the average of all occupations through 2014.

What is the average income for EMS personnel?

Based on a recent survey by the Journal of Emergency Medical Services average annual salaries range from $28,000 to over $35,000 for EMS personnel.

Is there more than one type of CPR training?

Yes. LSTI offers American Heart Association training courses in Heartsaver CPR / AED as well as Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers. Please refer to our American Heart Association Classes page for more information.

Does LSTI offer financial aid?

Currently LSTI offers convenient and affordable payment plans to help with student tuition. Unfortunately we do not currently accept Federal financial aid (FAFSA).

Is LSTI an accredited school?

LSTI is a non-profit proprietary school that is licensed under the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs through their Proprietary School Unit. We are also authorized by the Michigan Department of Community Health as a program sponsor for EMS training courses, EMS continuing education courses and Instructor Coordinator training courses. We are also pursuing national accreditation in addition to all of our state licenses and sponsorships.
