This course is designed to prepare you to pass the NREMT AEMT exam (EMT-S in Michigan) and work as a competent entry-level EMT-S. In this course you will gain the knowledge and skills to properly assess and manage a variety of injuries and illnesses that will enhance skills obtained at the EMT-B level. You will learn enhanced patient assessment and triage techniques, telemetry, respiratory and cardiovascular emergencies, airway management, fluids and electrolytes, IV therapy, introduction to pharmacology and other integration methods into pre-hospital advanced life support.
This course is designed for individuals looking to begin their career in EMS as well as healthcare professionals looking to enhance their employment opportunities. Successful completion of this course will offer participants job opportunities at Hospital Emergency Departments, Urgent Care Clinics, Municipal and Private EMS Agencies and other healthcare environments.
