Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Our updated Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) course is based on simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active hands-on participation.
Realistic simulations will reinforce:
- Proficiency in Basic Life Support (BLS) care
- Recognizing and initiating early management of peri-arrest conditions
- Managing cardiac arrest
- Identifying and treating ischemic chest pain and acute coronary syndromes
- Recognizing other life-threatining clinical situations (such as stroke) and providing initial care
- ACLS algorithms
- Effective resuscitation team dynamics
At the end of the course, students will participate in a megacode station to validate and test various skill sets. This new ACLS course improves the quality of care provided to the adult victim of cardiac arrest or cardiopulmonary emergencies.
- Full Provider, 12-14 hours
- Recertification, 6-8 hours
- Must have current BLS for Healthcare Provider Card
- ACLS Recertification candidates must have a current ACLS Card
- Copies of CPR cards are required at the time of registration
Required before the start of class for ALL students
- Completed PreCourse Test Results (on the course CD)
- Students coming into class without the PreCourse Test Results will be rescheduled for the next upcoming class
