EMT - Basic

LSTI’s EMT program prepares you to respond to emergencies and provide stabilization, on scene treatment, and ambulance transport of ill or injured patients. The core education includes CPR, anatomy and physiology, airway management, patient assessment, care of medical and traumatic emergencies, blood borne pathogens protection, patient extrication and transport, HazMat response, and incident command. LSTI’s EMT-B program will prepare you to take and pass the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians’ EMT-Basic exam.

Course Length: 234 Hours.
Clinical Hours: 40

Prerequisites: Must be at least 18 years old upon program completion. Must be high school graduate or have your GED.
